[IR] Replace alignment argument with attribute on masked intrinsics (#163802) The `masked.load`, `masked.store`, `masked.gather` and `masked.scatter` intrinsics currently accept a separate alignment immarg. Replace this with an `align` attribute on the pointer / vector of pointers argument. This is the standard representation for alignment information on intrinsics, and is already used by all other memory intrinsics. This means the signatures now match llvm.expandload, llvm.vp.load, etc. (Things like llvm.memcpy used to have a separate alignment argument as well, but were already migrated a long time ago.) It's worth noting that the masked.gather and masked.scatter intrinsics previously accepted a zero alignment to indicate the ABI type alignment of the element type. This special case is gone now: If the align attribute is omitted, the implied alignment is 1, as usual. If ABI alignment is desired, it needs to be explicitly emitted (which the IRBuilder API already requires anyway).
Welcome to the LLVM project!
This repository contains the source code for LLVM, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers, optimizers, and run-time environments.
The LLVM project has multiple components. The core of the project is itself called “LLVM”. This contains all of the tools, libraries, and header files needed to process intermediate representations and convert them into object files. Tools include an assembler, disassembler, bitcode analyzer, and bitcode optimizer.
C-like languages use the Clang frontend. This component compiles C, C++, Objective-C, and Objective-C++ code into LLVM bitcode -- and from there into object files, using LLVM.
Other components include: the libc++ C++ standard library, the LLD linker, and more.
Consult the Getting Started with LLVM page for information on building and running LLVM.

The LLVM project has adopted a code of conduct for participants to all modes of communication within the project.
