2010-03-05 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Don't pass the clang no-warnings flags
in to the C++ compiler.
2010-03-04 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Explicitly turn off diagnostic warnings
that clang generates for the test files so we don't flag the
compiles as failing.
2010-03-03 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: The default compiler is gcc/c++ but you
can specify gcc / clang / llvm-gcc in the --target_baseboards to
force the use of a specific compiler in the tests.
2008-09-24 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Always add -mmacosx-version-min=10.5 to
the cflags.
2008-09-17 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Correct setting of darwin64 in the board
info so it only happens when we're doing 64-bit test runs.
2008-09-12 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Default is now to debug 64-bit inferiors.
2008-06-05 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Fix setting of the gdb_opts var so
64 bit variants work again.
2008-06-04 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp (misc_cflags): I didn't mean to commit
the addition of -fasynchronous-unwind-tables and -fomit-frame-pointer.
2008-06-04 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Use the gdb_opts variable to force gdb into
a specific architecture via a --arch command line opt. When we're
running in 32-bit mode we don't want to pick up the 64-bit fork of
some universal binary by accident.
2007-11-15 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboard/macosx.exp: Set locate-dsym to 0 so we don't pick up
debug info for system libraries. Add the contents of macosx-radars.exp.
* baseboard/macosx-radars.exp: Removed.
2007-02-26 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboard/macosx.exp (64 bit modes): Pass -mmacosx-version-min=10.5
as the objc2 runtime will soon require.
2007-02-05 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove Essential Symbols mode.
(64 bit modes): Don't disable ObjC and Carbon tests. These are
supported in 64 bit modes now.
2007-01-22 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Used -feliminate-unused-debug-symbols instead
of -gused for stabs variants.
2006-10-27 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add "-gstabs+" to -gused/-gfull
to get stabs mode instead of a variation on DWARF. gcc may
be changing to interpreting the command line arguments this
way.
2006-08-15 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Set debug_default_format_is_dwarf exclusive-or
debug_default_format_is_stabs to 1 based on which general type of
debugging we're using by default.
2006-07-18 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx_dsym.exp baseboards/macosx_dwarf.exp
baseboards/macosx_es.exp baseboards/macosx_icc.exp
baseboards/macosx_repository.exp baseboards/macosx_stabs.exp
baseboards/macosx_stabs_gfull.exp baseboards/macosx_test.exp: Removed.
The --target_boards setting is the way to control variations.
2006-05-26 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macos.exp: For now, for x86-64, force the compiler to
maintain a frame pointer.
2006-05-23 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Handle both x86-64 and ppc64. For ppc64,
assume Carbon and ObjC work.
2006-04-26 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx-radars.exp: Remove 4107469 site_fails again.
And the 3647939 site fail - it is only failing for dsymutil test runs
so is unlikely to be the same problem as originally reported in
3647939.
2006-04-25 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx-radars.exp: Remove 4107469 site_fails again.
These tests will fail for stabs - and it is correct that they
fail for stabs.
2006-04-24 Stacey Pang (stacey_pang@apple.com)
Adding site-failures to macosx-radars.exp
Tired of seeing meaningless failures due to duplicate constructors
in ptype info ... Some of these radars were present for Turmeric.
Just carrying them over to CurryWeed.
2006-04-18 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx-radars.exp: Remove expected fails for
radars 3452966, 4107469, 3169193, 3611108.
* lib/framework.exp (record_test): Whitespace.
2006-04-03 Stacey Pang (stacey_pang@apple.com)
Turning on ppc64 dSYM testing because it works now.
* gdb/bin/ppc_flavors.txt
2006-04-03 Stacey Pang (stacey_pang@apple.com)
Separating radars from compile/link flags so QA and developers
can share an up-to-date radar list and have their own baseboards
for testing.

* example/hello/Makefile.in,
example/hello/aclocal.m4,
example/hello/configure,
example/hello/testsuite/Makefile.in: Regenerate autoconf/automake files
to remove incorrect acinclude.m4 dependency in the Makefile.
2006-03-09 Stacey Pang <stacey_pang@apple.com>
Checking in baseboards for official macosx testing to share them
with others eventhough they'll probably be removed or modified
once I get around to implementing Stan's nice new solution.
For now these are valuable because they're being used by other
automated scripts.

* runtest.exp: Add APPLE LOCAL markers to Joe's added
calls.
* lib/framework.exp: Add APPLE LOCAL markers to Joe's changes;
clean up code to follow dejagnu coding conventions a bit better.
2006-03-01 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* macosx.exp: Remove old-style debug type settings at top of
file. Change default debug style from -gfull to -gdwarf-2.
2006-03-01 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* macosx.exp: Add "es" target_boards configuration for
testing Essential Symbols. Add -dA to all dwarf variants so
the .s files are more readable. Remove unnecessary ldflags
settings.
2006-02-24 Greg Clayton (gclayton@apple.com)
* macosx.exp : added 'gdb_test_apple_dsym' global to allow
dsymutil to be called in gdb.exp. If the value of
'gdb_test_apple_dsym' is set to 0, dsymutil will not be
run, a value of 1 will run dsymutil on any gcc compile but
won't strip the debug map, and a value of 2 will run dsymtil
and strip the debug map after backing it up. Added two new
target board configurations named "dsym" and "dsym_strip"
to allow testing with dSYM files.
2006-02-08 Stan Shebs <shebs@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Use board variants to do 64-bit
and different debug flag testing.
2006-02-01 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* lib/framework.exp (perror): Don't call printstack - too much
information for general use.
2006-01-31 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp (debug_option): Uncomment the default -gfull.
2006-01-31 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add command line options for dwarf testing,
commented out.
2006-01-31 Stan Shebs <shebs@apple.com>

site_fails.
2005-11-29 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Clean out site_fail's that are no
longer failing with gcc 4 and the TOT gdb.
2005-11-29 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* baseboards/macosx.exp: 3061801 is still causing failures
in signals.exp.
2005-11-14 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* lib/framework.exp (clone_output): Move comment out of Bad Place.
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Don't test ES mode by default. Use just
'gcc', don't bother with 'gcc-4.0'.
2005-11-14 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)
* runtest.exp, lib/framework.exp, lib/remote.exp, lib/target.exp: Bring
forward all of Klee's Apple Local changes to the new dejagnu-1.4.4

for coalesced1.exp.
2005-08-04 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove the following failures:
- gdb.base/corefile.exp - args: -core=corefile
- gdb.base/corefile.exp - args: execfile -core=corefile
- gdb.base/corefile.exp - backtrace in corefile.exp
2005-08-04 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>

regex-style matches.
2005-08-04 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add the other failures for 4127661/coalesced*.exp.
Add wildcard entries for the various thread failures. Cleanup
--sometimes entries using wildcard matches.
2005-08-04 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp (setup_site_fail): Add support for regex and
globbing-style string matches on failure messages.
(fail): Ditto.
2005-08-03 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)

* lib/framework.exp (printstack): New function. Prints the TCL
stack.
(perror): Print the error stack.
2005-05-27 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add entries for 4130322 - new picbase
test fails on ppc/ppc64. Convert many powerpc-apple-darwin
entries to powerpc*-apple-darwin. Add all the uncategorized
site-fails --- we'll need to go back through these very soon, but
at least for now it means we can run the test-suite usefully.
2005-05-27 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Set the CFLAGS for ppc64.
2005-05-27 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp: Set the string for KPASS to "unexpected
successes", because "unknown successes" is just plain confusing.
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove obsolete MI test site-failure
(it's likely been orphaned for a while).
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove non-analyzed failure for
"gdb.cp/annnota2.exp: watch triggered on a.x", since it already
has an FSF kfail as gdb/544.
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add 4123986 - gcc 4.0 confuses "class
with all members public" with "struct".
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add a previously un-analyzed
gdb.base/constvars.exp failiure to 4122695 - gcc emits odd stabs
for volatile unsigned char arguments.
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add 3271737 - gdb handles breakpoints hit
by multiple threads poorly. Add 4123903 - gdb mauls stack while
handling breakpoint with multiple threads.
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove entries for 4122695 - gcc emits
odd stabs for volatile unsigned char arguments. For i386, move
them to 4122695 - gcc emits odd stabs for volatile unsigned char
arguments.
2005-05-18 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp:
- Modify the expected failure for 4111432 - gdb thinks sizeof
(long double) to match on i386 (long double is 12 bytes there).
- Remove some entries for 3067308 - unable to fetch XMM registers
or set float registers (we still need to resolve why the rest of
them are still failing).
- Mark 3085329 - gcc doesn't emit const qualifier for struct
members in stabs data as powerpc-only.
- Add i386-specific failures for 4107469 - gcc 4.0 synthetic c++
members confuse test suite.
- Move the test for "print cc" out of the other fails in
namespace.exp, and mark it as powerpc-only --- it's actually a
problem that GDB wants a "no such symbol" error, but
libSystem.dylib is providing 'cc' on powerpc.
- Remove 3126806 - gcc generates incorrect line number information
on i386 (it's fixed).
- Mark the failures for 4121135 - bfd has trouble with huge
corefiles as transient.
- Add 4122318 - i386 has $fp off by 8 from "frame at" in info
frame. It's correct behavior, but this is the easiest way to make
the test-suite happy.
- Add 4121959 - i386 corefiles appear truncated.
- Mark 3313204 - Breakpoint doesn't invoke breakpoint commands if
the function is called from gdb as multi-platform.
- Add 4122695 - gcc emits odd stabs for volatile unsigned char
arguments.
- Add 4123092 - gdb mauls inferior when hand-calling
std::string::substring.
- Add various thread test failures, yet to be analyzed.
- Move all "non-analyzed" test failures to the end of the file, so
they can be more visible.
2005-05-16 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add tests for 4121135 - bfd has trouble
with huge corefiles
2005-05-15 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp: Add support for an optional --sometimes
argument to setup_site_fail, so that the test-suite can be told to
handle "intermittent" failures.
2005-05-11 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove site-fails for 4111406 - gdb
shouldn't print warning messages for missing weak libraries.
2005-05-08 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove commented-out tests:
3602339 - MERGE: MI environment-directory: we seem to be making paths absolute.
3223691 - gdb TOT stopped supporting corefiles
3361020 - gdb can't parse prologue of printf() well enough to set breakpoint in function body.
3602283 - MERGE: backtrace through signal handlers incorrect.
3605977 - MERGE: stack parser botches alloca
3605984 - MERGE: mis-parses structure returns
3689412 - MERGE: metrowerks-address-to-name broken for addresses not in ordered section list
3647920 - MERGE: breakpoint in dylib w/ cond is not honored
3223691 - gdb TOT stopped supporting corefiles altogether.
3056074 - expression parser misunderstands array typedef
3361206 - With cached symfiles, gdb has invalid obstack chunk pointers in ncurses/libSystem objfiles
"stack pointer is showing up as heinous offset from dyld_func_lookup_pointer".
Add tests:
4111966 - bfd can't get arguments from core file
4111967 - add-symbol-file <address> doesn't properly relocate .o files
Remove fixed tests:
3602331 - MERGE: MI - thread changed hooks are broken
3606854 - MERGE: Our whiny insistence on not using a default return type got dropped on inferior func calls
gdb.base/ena-dis-br.exp:continue with ignore count, not stopped at bpt
* gdb.base/callfuncs.exp: Replace \r\r\n with \r\n in the
output of "info all-registers", to work around 4112177 - expect
somehow gets \r\r\n at the end of a line.
* gdb.base/ena-dis-br.exp: Swap the entries around in the
final test so that the XFAIL actually gets noticed.
2005-05-06 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add 4111432 - gdb thinks sizeof (long
double) == 8.
2005-05-06 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add 4111406 - gdb shouldn't print
warning messages for missing weak libraries.
2005-05-06 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Remove un-filed annota1.exp failure that
was fixed by gcc 4.0. Add 4108212 - misbehaves when source lines
have multiple disjoint address ranges. Update the
gdb.cp/nnamespace.exp list to reflect fixes in gcc-4.0. Ditto for
gdb.cp/inherit.exp.
2005-05-03 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add fails for 4107469 - gcc 4.0
synthetic c++ members confuse gdb test suite
2005-05-03 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add fails for 4107430 - gcc 4 doesn't
emit symbols for anonymous union members.

2002-11-07 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* runtest.exp: Rename --site-specific-xfail to --site-fail.
Clean up the argument processing: --site-fail is now the same
as --site-fail=KFAIL; --site-fail= disables site-specific
failure-handling support.
2002-11-07 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* runtest.exp: New variables, site_xfail and site_pass,
control the default reporting values for triggered and un-triggered
site_fails. Remove entry for '--si' in the optarg list, it
was not being hit before because of a missing '*' and shouldn't have
been there anyway (we use --site= syntax). Allow the user to
specify 'site_xfail' with the '--site-specific-fail=' command-line
argument.
* lib/frameworks.exp: Convert to use site_xfail and site_pass.
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Lots of cleanup, reorganization.
2002-11-06 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* framework.exp (setup_site_xfail): Swap the order of the filename
and the architecture in the setup_site_xfail arguments.
(log_summary): Use 'info exists' instead of 'catch' to check for
the existence of the key.
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Update site-fail list; remove obsolete entries.
2002-10-31 Jason Molenda (jmolenda@apple.com)

* lib/framework (fail): Fix syntax error in set array($key).
2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp (log_summary): Use $array($key) syntax instead
of 'array get', to avoid unfortunate glob behavior for test names
containing '['.

2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Site-specific kfail updates.
2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp (fail): Declare global pf_prefix, to avoid
record_test using the last-set value of the global. Store the
file as well as the test name in the array key. Generate a KFAIL
instead of an XFAIL, to lessen confusion with the rest of the
dejagnu output.
(setup_site_xfail): Store the file as well as the test name in the
array key.
(log_summary): Generate KPASS instead of XPASS, to lessen
confusion with the rest of the dejagnu output.
2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp (log_summary): Check for site_xfails
before starting output, in case we weren't run with
--site-specific-xfails (or in case none were defined).
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Update site-fail for printcmds.exp to
use a1_0 instead of a1[0].
2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* baseboards/macosx.exp: Add i386 and gdb.apple/mi1-varobj.exp
site-specific failures.
2002-10-23 Klee Dienes <kdienes@apple.com>
* lib/framework.exp (unknown): Add new flag 'in_exit'; don't try
to do log_and_exit, if unknown was called from within exit, as
this leads to an infinite recursion.
(log_summary): Add XPASS entries for all site-specific XFAILS for
which the appropriate test file has been run, but which were not
triggered by any FAILs in the test-run.
(record_test): Store an array of 'seen' files, so we know which
site-specific tests to generate XFAILs for.
(setup_site_xfail): Store site_xfails as an array, not a list.
Add a field to store the architectures for which the XFAIL is
appropriate; also store a 'seen' flag to mark if the XFAIL has
been triggered.
(fail): Convert to use the new array. Also check for the file and
the target to match the ones specified by setup_site_xfail. Mark
the XFAIL as 'seen'. Move the remote_close on timeout to the end
of the function.
